Whilst there are no shortage of opportunities, when it comes to resourcing and recruitment, 2021 has continued to be a challenging year for the construction, infrastructure, engineering, project management, and government sectors.

It has been a busy time for recruiters across Australia, and we have thankfully fared better than many countries. Whilst widely documented talent shortages continue to be a significant hurdle to overcome, the good news is there is light at the end of the tunnel. We’re expecting further border restrictions to ease in early 2022, both domestic and international, which should stimulate increased candidate mobility.

The growth we have seen in our industries has been unprecedented. Many business leaders have had to overcome significant staffing, cultural, and operational challenges and we’ve been delighted that so many of our clients have been able to take advantage of the market.

When it comes to CGC, James and I, along with the Directors, have been pleased with our performance, fantastic team, and that we’ve been able to support so many clients, candidates, and team members. We were also delighted to open our third office and congratulate our WA State Lead, Nic Maplestone, for a great year.

So as 2021 draws to a close, CGC’s management group and all our staff wanted to take a moment and say thank you for your continued support. Merry Christmas and we wish you and your loved one's health, happiness, peace, and prosperity this Christmas and in the coming New Year.

We’ve very optimistic about 2022 and look forward to working with you in the new year.

CGC over the holidays

Whilst recruitment doesn’t stop during the holidays, it does slow down. All current projects will be managed accordingly, however, our offices will be closed from 24 December to 3 January (4 January for Perth).

The break often gives us time, however, for career/team reflection, so if you need to talk with one of our experienced consultants, please get in touch with CGC for a confidential discussion.
